Confessions of three antiques experts! TV stars team up for stage show - and secrets will be revealed!

Three of Britain’s best known TV antiques experts are set to reveal their deepest secrets on their first-ever UK theatre tour.

After decades of working together on some of Britain’s best loved television series, Charlie Ross, Christina Trevanion and Philip Serrell have joined forces to share anecdotes galore.

In a no-holds-barred stage show called Antiques and a Little Bit of Nonsense, the three auctioneers plan to share secrets of the antiques world - and themselves. Plus, they will answer questions put to them by the audience.

Topics will include the weird and wonderful things they have sold at auction, the dream lot they would love to sell and their guilty pleasures. They will also reveal how their TV work blossomed and which celebrities they’ve enjoyed working with the most.

The unique stage show launched in Canterbury on March 26 2023 and has since played at numerous theatres round the country.

Fans of those shows have Philip Serrell to thank for coming up with this stage show idea – “after a few of us went out on a karaoke night! Don’t worry there’s no karaoke in the show. I wouldn’t inflict my rendition of The Killers’ ‘Are we human or are we dancer? ’on anyone ever again.”

“But I can promise a barrel of laughs, behind-the-scenes snippets, bloopers, antiques confessions and personal revelations about all of our lives that may take people by surprise. It’s going to be great fun. I hope people who enjoy watching us will come out in force to see the show.” Charlie Ross, a renowned vintage and collectible car auctioneer, said: “The audience will get to know the background of our lives and how we started in the business. For me, it was simply by chance. I was supposed to be a dentist.

“We will certainly not be short of interesting and humorous tales from the auction rooms, and, of course, from our lives in front of the cameras.

“I have lots of tales to tell from auctions I have conducted round the world including the US, India, South Africa and Monaco. And I won’t be afraid to reveal the cock-ups I have made over the years!”
